Pyra is determined to provoke thinking and drive positive social change through all aspects of her art. She has defined a new genre of ‘dystopian pop’ music that has its roots in hip hop and alternative sounds infused with a touch of Asian influence. It addresses head on, with her characteristic wit, issues of social justice, climate change, feminism, mental health and spirituality.
She is often described as “a truly cosmopolitan multi-talent with consummate artistry and insane drive.” She blends the best of the music, art and fashion worlds with an instinctive understanding of the power of psychology and social media, which results in an amazing unique approach to everything she does. This all translates perfectly into her live show which has been described as more of an ‘experience’ than a stereotypical ‘live concert’.
Pyra is, without doubt, the ‘Festival’s Favourite’. She has appeared at numerous festivals around the world including Burning Man (US), Big Mountain Music Festival (TH) and Forest Jam (JP). She ranked 1st on the delegate’s Favourite Act list at the Bangkok Music City and was voted the Best Act of Zandari Festa in Korea. Earlier in 2020 (The Pre-Covid 19 Era), she was booked to perform at The Great Escape (UK).
‘The Pursuit of Fame’ is not her dream. For Pyra, ‘fame’ is simply her tool to create the very biggest impact through her artistry to drive positive social change.
